Building the showcase website for Artefact, a space for their creative work

Collaboration overview

Artefact is a Nantes-based creative studio specializing in art direction, photography, and video. They entrusted us with the design and development of their very first website, with a clear goal: create a digital showcase capable of translating their sensitive, experimental, and committed approach.

We envisioned an elegant, minimalist experience, somewhere between graphic brutality and execution finesse.

Vision

Founded by three friends with complementary profiles, Artefact develops projects at the crossroads of fashion, music, and art. Their wish: a website that gives pride of place to imagery, tells their story instinctively, and can evolve as they grow.

The site needed to reflect their posture as young, independent creatives, provide real space for their work, and embody their aesthetic as much as their team spirit.

Project details

The website is structured around four main sections: an immersive landing page, a free experimentation gallery, a dedicated agency page, and a project space designed as an editorial portfolio. We designed a minimal yet bold interface, punctuated by subtle effects, expressive typography, and custom interactions.

A structured CMS allows the team to easily document their projects, with filter logic and fluid navigation.

The whole system rests on a graphic framework that lets images speak, delivering an experience that’s as visual as it is ergonomic.
